At the Department for Transport’s haulier advice sites, drivers and crew of HGVs, LGVs, coaches and vans can:
- take a free coronavirus (COVID-19) test
- find out about the rules and documents needed to move goods between the UK and EU by getting a border readiness check
- get help using the Check an HGV / Apply for a Kent Access Permit (KAP) service
You must test negative for COVID-19 before you cross the border into certain countries. Check if you need to get a test and when you should get one. Get tested before entering Kent to avoid delays.
Drivers and crew using Dover and Eurotunnel will get fast-tracked past queues if they get tested and have a valid Kent Access Permit before arriving in Kent.

Haulier advice sites are at motorway service stations and truck stops. Most haulier advice sites are open between 6am and 9:30pm, 7 days a week.

COVID-19 testing no longer available at Charnock Richard Services Northbound, Junction 38 Services, Stafford Northbound, Strensham Northbound, Strensham Southbound and Sutton Scotney Northbound.
Cobham Services is open for 24-hour COVID-19 testing.
Baldock Services is open for 24-hour COVID-19 testing only.

Hauliers now need a negative COVID-19 test result before travelling to Germany, as well as France, Denmark and the Netherlands.

7 more haulier advice and information sites are now offering COVID testing: Charnock Richard Services northbound, Truck Haven (Carnforth), the Stockyard Truckstop Rotherham, Woodall northbound, Leicester Forest East northbound, Beaconsfield and Sutton Scotney northbound.
Rownhams northbound is offering COVID-19 testing from 6am until 10pm.
Eight new haulier advice sites are now offering testing: Heywood Distribution Truck Stop, Thurrock Services, Hartshead Moor (Huddersfield), Formula Services (Ellesmere Port), Sandbach Southbound, Cherwell Valley, Membury Eastbound and Junction 38 Services.
